چکیده
The controlled synthesis of poly(3-hexylthiophene)s (P3HTs) with number-average molecular weights (Mns) up to 350 kg mol(-1) has been realized with Ni(IPr)(acac)2 as the catalyst.

On the role of single regiodefects and polydispersity in regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene): defect distribution, synthesis of defect-free chains, and a simple model for the determination of crystallinity.
Identifying structure formation in semicrystalline conjugated polymers is the fundamental basis to understand electronic processes in these materials. Although correlations between physical properties, structure formation, and device parameters of regioregular, semicrystalline poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) have been established, it has remained difficult to disentangle the influence of regioreg...
متن کاملFormation of conjugated polymer brushes by surface-initiated catalyst-transfer polycondensation.
Electroactive conjugated polymer brushes of poly(thiophene) and poly(phenylene) have been prepared via a surface-initiated Kumada-type polycondensation reaction, yielding films with a thickness up to 42 nm.
متن کاملOne pot synthesis of poly(3-hexylthiophene)-block-poly(hexadecyloxylallene) by sequential monomer addition.
A series of poly(3-hexylthiophene)-b-poly(hexadecyloxylallene) copolymers has been synthesized in one pot via sequential monomer addition by using Ni(dppp)Cl2 as a single catalyst. The copolymerization has been revealed to proceed by a controlled chain extension mechanism and the block copolymer can self-assemble into a well-defined supramolecular structure in solution and exhibit microphase se...
متن کاملMolecular Weight Determination for 1 , 2 , 1 , 2 - Polypropadiene
-By using standard bromination conditions, the insoluble 1,2,1,2-polypropadiene (formed by Ni(acac)z or Co(acac)2 or 3, C3H,,, (iBu)3A1 catalysts) is transformed into a soluble bromopolypropadiene. Using this technique, determination of molecular weight becomes possible. It was found that the molecular weight increases with polymerization time until a steady value is reached. As the polymer yie...
متن کاملSynthesis and identification of polystyrene via conventional and controlled radical polymerization methods: Effect of temperature, initiator and transfer agent on molecular weight and reaction rate
Polystyrene (PSt) has been known as one of the important polymers with a wide range of applications. Ability to synthesize PSt with different but predictable molecular weights for various applications is very important in the laboratories and industries. In this study, using various simple and inexpensive techniques with only free radical mechanism, it was tried to synthesize PSt with different...
